6-Year-Old Boy Plays Tag and Gets Accused of Sexual Assault

The boy was accused of brushing his best friend's leg or groin while playing tag on the playground. Oh boy.... The pussification or wussification of America has really set in. Arrrgh... How can a school official or a parent make that dramatically large leap from an accidental brushing which possibly happened during outside recess time to sexual assault?  These idiots must not have had recess when they attended school. Boys will be boys. When playing outside sports or activities it is quite possible, not out of the ordinary, that two child's bodies could come into contact with one another accidentally.  This whole thing is outrageous and was blown way out of proportion by the school and the child's parents who made the sexual assault accusation. So much for contact sports nowadays. So much for simply letting kids have fun today.  Why do liberals have to take the fun out of everything? Or try to?

From CBS San Francisco: "The parent, who asked only to be identified as Oswin, said his son was accused of brushing his best friend’s leg or groin while the two were playing on the playground at Lupine Hills Elementary in Hercules two months ago.
"Oswin said his child was kept in the principal’s office for two hours until he confessed. He was suspended, and a sexual battery charge was placed on his permanent school record.
“To me, I think it’s an overreaction,” said Marilyn Cheeks, a Lupine Hills Elementary parent
"Legally, there’s no such thing as sexual assault for a six year-old in California.
"It wasn’t until Oswin and his wife got a lawyer that the school backed off. District officials declined to discuss specifics. They did confirm that an investigation was conducted, and that the child could not be charged with sexual battery. The claim was removed from the boy’s record.
"Oswin’s son is attending another school now. He said he only hopes no one else will have to go through what his family did."
It sounds like the family got this resolved, with the help of their attorney. That's good news. Its too bad that this situation spiraled out of control. I hope the boy is doing much better at his new school.

Horror and Tragedy in Brooklyn: 7 Blocks to Walk; A Boy Ends Up Brutally Murdered

After attending summer day camp Leiby Kletzky, an 8 year old Orthodox Jewish boy, was supposed to meet his parents after walking 7 blocks.  But he became disoriented and lost his way.  This is so tragic....sniff....and he asked the suspect for directions.  From what I've heard, the little boy was tied up, suffocated, and then the suspect chopped his body up.  This little boy's body parts were found in the freezer and in a trash bin.  What makes this horrific tragedy even worse is the suspect is a man from their own neighborhood and of the same background.  This monster is also an Orthodox Jew.  This is so sad.  My heart goes out to this boy's parents and the whole community in Brooklyn.  It is sad that in today's times kids can no longer walk on the streets alone safely.

Do you think that this is a case which calls for the death penalty?   I do.  Unfortunately I don't think that New York has the death penalty.  Maybe that will change due to this horrific crime?  Do you think that we need the death penalty as a deterrent to crime?

From CNN:

An 8-year-old's grisly murder would shock any community, but there's an added layer of astonishment in this neighborhood because the alleged killer appears to hail from the same close-knit religious community as the victim.
On Thursday, New York police charged a 35-year-old man with the killing of Leiby Kletzky, an Orthodox Jewish boy, after officers found human remains in the man's refrigerator and a trash bin.
The alleged killer also appears to be an Orthodox Jew who lived relatively nearby to Kletzky, according to community members.
"You can't possibly describe how tragic this is and how upset people are this boy was murdered by a person living in the community, who shares his religion and his neighborhood," said Ezra Friedlander, who lives in Borough Park, the neighborhood where Kletzky went missing on Monday.
On Thursday, Levi Aron was arraigned on first degree murder and kidnapping charges in Brooklyn in connection with Kletzky's death.
"It would have been extremely scary if a terrorist would have come into the community and killed a boy, but when it's one of your own you feel even more vulnerable," said Friedlander, a public relations executive who represents many Orthodox Jewish clients.
"The level of fear that mothers and fathers and children here are experiencing is something that I never witnessed before," he said. CONTINUED

Michigan 6-Year-Old Suspended From School For Making Gun With His Hand -- Nanny-Dumb???

According to Fox News there was a 6-year-old student that was suspended from a Michigan School for making a gun with his hand. This is utterly ridiculous! It seems as though Nanny-Dumb has permeated through Michigan’s public schools.

While I disagree with the severity of the punishment the child was explicitly told by both his parents and his teacher multiple times to stop making his hand into the shape of a gun during class. Since the child didn’t listen to his teacher, I do believe that he needed to be punished in some fashion, but suspending the kid is way overboard and overkill in my opinion. I think that the boy was just fooling around during class time.

If this wasn’t done during school hours I would just think that this child was being creative(within reason), or a little boy having fun. I don’t think that this boy made this gesture out of malice.

He was suspended from school because both his classmates and his teacher were uncomfortable with him making his fist into the shape of a gun. Would these same students and this particular teacher be uncomfortable if there was a student who was deaf that used sign language? Should we really be letting people who are uncomfortable dictate when students are suspended? I am not saying the child shouldn’t be punished at all, but it seems like suspending the 6-year-old was not called for either.

I just think that this whole situation displays clearly that common sense was not used by the school in handling this situation. It sure seems like the State of Michigan, and its public school systems have established and are promoting a Nanny-Dumb, or a nanny state.

From Fox News:
A Michigan boy reportedly has been suspended from school for curling his hand into the shape of a gun and pointing it at another student.

Erin Jammer, said her son, Mason, was just playing around when he made the gesture Wednesday, the Grand Rapids Press reported.

"I do think it's harsh for a six-year-old. He's six and he just likes to play. Maybe what you could do is take his recess away. He's only six and he doesn't understand any of this," Erin Jammer said.

But officials at Jefferson Elementary School said the behavior made other students uncomfortable, and they suspended Mason for the remainder of the week, the paper reported.

School officials also told the paper that Mason had been warned repeatedly against pretending to aim his hand at students but continued the behavior over several months.

Jammer told the paper her son isn't violent and doesn’t have toy guns at home. She suggested a less harsh punishment, like taking Mason’s recess away, might be more effective in teaching him not to make a gun with his hand.

"He's only six and he doesn't understand any of this," she said.
