Independence Day - Tyranny Then and Now

By the latter part of the 18th century the Founding Fathers had decided to break free from the tyranny being forced upon them by Great Britain and on July 4, 1776 our Founders in the thirteen colonies declared their independence from Britain with the signing of the Declaration of Independence. What caused the founders to not only want but to demand this separation from Britain and King George? There were a series of usurpations that were forced upon the colonies by King George in Great Britain.


Here is a list of taxes that Britain imposed on the colonies in America:

The Molasses Act imposed duties on molasses, rum and sugar from non-British islands in the Caribbean Sea to protect the English planters form foreign competition. The act was generally ignored by the Americans. Therefore the British amended it with the Sugar Act (1764) one and a half pence per gallon on wine, sugar and testiles. To settle problems under the Molasses Act the tax was reduced by fifty percent but strictly enforced. Now the Americans were feeling the threat of British rule and objected the way how the money was being spent. The British pretended to need money to support troops but the troops were stationed at ports to enforce British rule and not in the interior were the treat of attacks existed. British parliament would additional tax revenue for some imperial expenses and passed the Stamp Act in 1865 which was due on paper, newspapers, customs document, licenses, college diplomas and numerous legal forms for recovering debts, buying land or making wills. This was the beginning of censoring information as any document with unwanted comments about the British was not stamped. With the Townshend Acts (1767) taxes on glass, lead, paper, paint and tea were introduces. The colonists claimed "Taxation without representation is slavery". The boycotts of British goods leat to repealing the Stamp Act in 1766 and the new import duties were lifted in 1770 but not the tax on tea. The Tea Act of 1773 heightens the tension and finally lead to the Boston Tea Party (December 17, 1773). In reply the British passed the Coervice Act (1774) to punish Boston. This act was called Intolerable Acts by the Americans. Under this act the port of Boston was closed and the city was putted under military command. To support Boston the First Continental Congress (1774) were held in Philadelphia by fifty-six delegates from twelve colonies (Georgia was missing). By 1775 the first military actions began and in 1776 the Continental Congress declared independence. With the Paris treaty of September 3, 1783 the American Revolution came to its successful end.

Our Founding Fathers were courageous to stand up to King George in Britain and tell him NO More! We demand freedom and liberty and we are dissolving the bonds between Britain and the colonies.


Under King Obama there have been "a long train of abuses and usurpations" forced upon the people.


First, Congress passed the a massive spending package which Democrats like to refer to as Stimulus. I would like to know why since it didn't stimulate a darn thing. The Stimulus only gave us more debt. And, guess who is going to be paying for the added taxes thanks to the libs? You guessed right. The average taxpayer.


Then Obama like a good little socialist decided to centralize all the college loans and put them under the auspices of the federal government. Lord knows we couldn't have those "evil" private companies running the college loans. Heaven forbid there might be competition. You know how the government can't stand competition.


Third, we have Obama & Co deciding to sue and declare war against one of its own states. Let's see here.... The federal government is supposed to secure the borders in order to ensure our safety. The Feds job is to make sure that people come here legally and they are to stop the border jumpers from crossing over illegally. The federal government refuses to do its job. Arizona had at least one murder that occurred which was committed by an illegal immigrant. Arizona had many more illegals who were crossing over every day so they passed an immigration law. Then, Eric Holder sued the state of Arizona. The only reason the DOJ sued Arizona is because they need the illegal immigrants votes to ensure that King Barack can keep his throne and pass more freedom-hating laws or regulations.

King Obama refuses to defend a law of the land - The Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). He is trying to appease those with a homosexual agenda by giving his consent to the DOJ to stop defending marriage as being defined as being between a man and woman. His refusal to defend the law of the land shows his contempt for the law within the United States.


Obamao keeps on enforcing an unconstitutional law of our land. The Patriot Act violates our Constitutional rights. He even went a step further than the Bush administration and has authorized for law abiding citizens to be groped in some very private places, like in diapers, breasts, and crotches by the TSA whenever you fly. Nothing like getting a free physical courtesy of the TSA.


Sixth, King Obama wasn't able to get congress to pass his Cap & Trade kill the economy with huge taxes on the American people tax law so he decided to bypass that little hang up in his master plan to tax us all to kingdom come, obfuscates the Constitution and has the EPA institute regulations which do pretty much the same thing that the kill the economy with huge taxes on citizens, poor and rich alike, would have done if he would have abided by the Constitution and gotten congress to pass the law. That's right, progressives despise the constitution. It only gets in their way of their Marxist plans to "transform" America into some European socialist state.


And, The Obama administration took over Chrysler and General Motors all to save their cash cow, the unions. Obama gave his unions a bailout and a huge stake in both companies. The best thing for Chrysler and General Motors would have been for the both them to go into bankruptcy and have to restructure. But, oh no!, that would have hurt the unions, reduced their pay and pensions. That couldn't be allowed under the Obama regime. The unions own the Democrat Party. Yes, the Democrat Party is a wholly owned subsidiary of the unions. That is why the unions must also control our public schools. The public schools are worthless pieces of junk that have failed our youth all because of the unions. The unions get paid more and somehow the students do worse. We need to start thinking about our future - the kids - and take public schools back from the unions. The unions horrible agenda to indoctrinate our youth with Marxist beliefs must be stopped!


That's a heck of a lot of encroachments committed by King Obama. It is time for us patriots to act with the same courage as our Founders did and stand up to these liberty-hating progressives and take our country back from those who want to "transform" this country into the Socialist States of America.

What's Next For Egypt?

The crowd in Cairo is jubilant!!  But, as much as they are wishing for democracy and freedom is this a be careful what you wish for moment?  The Egyptians have ousted Mubarak so what exactly lies in their future?  Does Egypt have the structure in place to be able to start a democracy?  Or is a Khumeini-like individual going to emerge to the forefront and misrepresent himself as being for the people like Khumeini did in Iran?   While I do see some signs of hope for the Egyptians' future I find it eerily similar due to the fact that this revolution and ousting of Mubarak the dictator happened on exactly the 32nd anniversary of the Shah falling in Iran.  Plus, we had a pro-Big Government president in 1979, named Jimmy Carter who royally screwed up our relations with the Middle East and now we have Obama who is an Ultra pro-Big Government president who is royally screwing up our Middle East relations again.  In addition, the way that both Carter interacted with the Middle East's leaders in the past and how Obama is interacting with Middle East leaders today, in screwing our allies while appeasing our enemies I wonder whose interests he's really looking out for?  It certainly doesn't look like Obama is looking out for America's best interests today.

I think that this is a momentous occasion which gives the people of Egypt the possibility of following the model of freedom and democracy, following in Iraq's footsteps.  As I was watching the news coverage of people shouting in the streets cheering in the streets shouting the word freedom in celebration of Mubarak having stepped down I saw in particular one person who said that he wanted democracy, that he wanted to follow the model of deomcracy in Iraq and I couldn't help but wonder whether Geroge W. Bush had a hand in today's events.  Without George Bush having the courage to stand up for freedom, not merely spouting words like other politicians,  would Iraq have become a beacon of democracy of freedom in the Middle East?  He was willing to walk the walk instead of just talking the talk and he toppled a ruthless dictator. Without Bush having initiated a democracy in Iraq would any of these uprisings in the Middle East and Africa have occurred?  Would they have had any hope to topple their leader who was oppressing them?  Hopefully, terrorist organizations such as the Muslim Brotherhood and terrorist sympathizers won't take advantage of this chaotic situation and fill the vacuum.  Now the military holds the keys and the future of Egypt is in the palm of the military's hand.

I thought it would be a good idea to look up Egypt's background on history, government makeup, demographics, and resources so here is a brief summary from the CIA World Factbook:

A unified kingdom arose circa 3200 B.C., and a series of dynasties ruled in Egypt for the next three millennia. Thoughts on American Exceptionalism

After reading this excellent post on American exceptionalism this morning, Kevin and I started pondering and brainstorming about what makes America exceptional. We came up with this - America has an anti-government constitution with a unique longevity. America is fundamentally not a territory or a political entity, but an idea, and the idea is personal freedom. It is the establishment of a limited government to protect freedom, and it is founded on the idea that because everyone is equal, everyone has the same right to be protected from infringements on their freedom.


The problem with leftist utopian visions is that they confuse the premises with the conclusion. They take equality to be the goal, the finish line, rather than the starting point, the fundamental premise. Liberals use the idea of equality to justify the exercise of a will to power and the expansion of government to address inequalities as if they were always the result of some unjust exercise of power on the part of individuals which should be checked by government n service to the common good. But equality is not where we are supposed to end up, but where we start. We are all already equal by our God-given human nature. The idea of equality is in service to the idea of freedom, not the other way around, and it is an abuse of the idea of equality to pit it against individual liberty to the detriment of the latter. America is and has been exceptional in its history of holding fast to this basic idea of freedom, while other western democracies have been seduced by an excessive egalitarianism and lost the clarity of their own visions of human liberty. It may be that liberty is a means value, not an end in itself, but if that is so, it is not a means to the realization of total equality, that is, equality of economic conditions, equality of achievement, the equality of results, the equality of outcome. Liberty is the means to the common good, to human happiness. Equality is the starting condition., and the justification for liberty, not its purpose.

Dr. Walter E. Williams stated, “If you read through all the statements by the Founders and the framers of the Constitution, it’s very much anti-government. Matter of fact, if you read through the Constitution and the first ten Amendments, you would conclude that it was a very anti-government document. That is, the negative phrases used by the Founders against the Congress of the United States showed their deep distrust. The Bill of Rights says Congress shall not disparage, Congress shall not abridge, Congress shall not prohibit, Congress shall make no law, blah, blah, blah. It reflected a deep suspicion of government.

And if you look through history, government has been the enemy of the people. As brutal as the wars were in the 20th Century, where tens of millions of people were slaughtered—World War II, the 60 million; then World War I, the Korean War, or the Vietnam War—the total loss of life through wars pales in comparison with the number of people murdered by their own governments. You can start out with the Soviet Union: well over 100 million people were killed. Or the slaughter of the Armenians by the Turks, and the millions of people slaughtered by Hitler through extermination camps and things like this.”

The concept of American exceptionalism was coined by Alexis de Tocqueville. In Democracy in America, Tocqueville identified five values crucial to America's success as a democratic republic: (1) liberty (2) egalitarianism, (3) individualism, (4)populism and (5) laissez-faire.

Tocqueville, stated, “I HAVE already pointed out the distinction between a centralized government and a centralized administration. The former exists in America, but the latter is nearly unknown there. If the directing power of the American communities had both these instruments of government at is disposal and united the habit of executing its commands to the right of commanding; if, after having established the general principles of government, it descended to the details of their application; and if, having regulated the great interests of the country, it could descend to the circle of individual interests, freedom would soon be banished from the New World.”

Today, the Leftists are trying to transform our country and our government into a centralized administration which ultimately leads to tyranny.

STOP This Tyrannical and Immoral Health Care Bill

The Democrats in Congress are now trying to shove this health care debacle bill down our throats like its the best medicine for the American people since penicillin was invented.  Well, I am allergic to penicillin, so get this freaking danger to my life the hell outta here, and flush it right down the crapper.  The American people have spoken out against this bill continuously for over a year but these ignorant politicians have proven that they either have their heads up their arses or they simply don't give a damn about the American people.  Or both?  This bill is a danger to our life, liberty, pursuit of happiness, privacy, and most of all our freedom.  This is one big step away from being a Republic and a huge leap toward dictatorship and socialism.  Patrick Caddell and Douglas Schoen point out in their coloumn how the Democrats blatant refusal to listen to the American people is going to come back to bite them in the arse in the November elections.  The arrogance of this administration and this Democratic Congress has become quite apparent over this past year or so.  This Congress and administration is refusing to see the writing on the wall- REALITY- and are dredging forward and deeper into their swamp.  As Obama and the Democrats continue to present on the facade that they are for health are reform, Rep. Paul Ryan points out what real meaningful health care reform is instead of the fakery and mockery that Democrats have made out of their whole health care "reform" initiative.  Instead of curbing the cost of health care the CBO points out that Obamacare will raise premiums of health insurance.  And, then Archbishop Chaput points out the immorality of this health care bill and how "Catholic" agencies are doing a disservice to the Catholic community and American people by presenting this bill as being pro-life, when in fact it is not.  This bill must be thrown in the garbage.  We must do meaningful health care reform that accomplshes what health reform was set out to do- lowers health care costs and increases accessibility to people.

We must NEVER Honor Communist China Ever Again

Hmmmm.... Why is the United States celebrating the 60th anniversary of communism in China? Why is the U.S. commemorating this horrific tyranny being perpetrated upon the Chinese citizens? Why is the U.S. honoring this commemoration of anti-freedom by lighting the Empire State Building with Red and Yellow colors? Could it be because we have a communist sitting in the White House? Could it be because the Obama administration is craving to force tyranny upon us United States citizens as China has done for 60 years? I don't know. But this is an utter disgrace. America is supposed to be celebrating freedom for all people and not the destruction of freedom which is exactly what communism does. Does Obama like this type of suppression of the opposition? His administration has shown that they can't handle the opposition by asking for "fishy" information regarding the health care debate and then Humana Insurance is given a gag order because it is informing their participants of the TRUTH with regards to a cut in medicare.

Yes. WE have a communist in the White House. His name is Barack Obama. He was largely influenced by his childhood mentor, Frank Marshall Davis who was a communist. Obama had an admitted relationship with Frank Marshall Davis who was a member of the Communist Party USA(CPUSA). "The record shows that Obama was in Hawaii from 1971-1979, where, at some point in time, he developed a close relationship, almost like a son, with Davis, listening to his "poetry" and getting advice on his career path. But Obama, in his book, Dreams From My Father, refers to him repeatedly as just "Frank." The reason is apparent: Davis was a known communist who belonged to a party subservient to the Soviet Union. In fact, the 1951 report of the Commission on Subversive Activities to the Legislature of the Territory of Hawaii identified him as a CPUSA member. What's more, anti-communist congressional committees, including the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC), accused Davis of involvement in several communist-front organizations." According to Accuracy in Media, Obama was an associate to a Chicago-based Marxist group that had access to mega-bucks from unions. Obama is a member of Democratic Socialists of America. As a member of the Socialists of America in Chicago Obama, he met both William Ayers and Carl Davidson who were members of the Students for a Democratic Society(SDS). The SDS spread its mission across college campuses in the 60's and from it hatched the terrorist group the Weather Underground, in which Ayers was a member. Obama and Ayers both served on the board of the Woods Fund of Chicago, and the Annenberg Challenge, where Ayers was also a guiding force. Obama with the help of Ayers became Chairman of the Annenberg Challenge.

Obama, over his lifetime has surrounded himself amongst many communists and socialists who are very mush sympathizers of Karl Marx. With this known, I believe I know the true reason that the U.S. is celebrating communism as a good, instead of denouncing it, as the United States should be. Obama agrees with and approves of the communist way. The United States should not be giving any signals of agreement with the brutality that Chinese communism has brought upon its people over these 60 years. This is horrendous, how this anti-freedom loving White House has chosen to celebrate and laud the tyranny of China that has occurred under communism for the past 60 years. We must make it known to our Dear Leader that this is highly unacceptable, unconscionable, and goes against everything the United States stands for-Freedom and Liberty.

Obama has proven that he is a control freak, that he wants to shred our constitution, and wants to break down the liberty and freedom of the citizens of the U.S. And, by allowing the travesty of honoring China's communist anniversary, he has shown that he believes in the communist way which is tyranny of the people. I believe Obama has shown that he is a communist. We must continue our fight aginst this tyranny that Obama is thrusting upon us in so many ways.

We must NEVER honor communist China ever again!

Mike Sola, who spoke out at Rep. Dingell's town hall meeting in defense of his son who is sick with cerebral palsy, is being threatened with injury or death by Obama supporters. After speaking out against Dingell at the town hall, and after Dingell LIED about an "amendment" that would protect his son, persons unknown have been coming onto his property at night and terrorizing Sola and his wife and calling for the death of Sola's son. Sola said that if he catched them, he will kill them, even if it means his going to prison.



These Obama gangsters know no bounds. Sola is "unAmerican," according to Pelosi because of his protest. Things continue to heat-up.



He is not unAmerican. Anyone who speaks out against tyranny is a Patriot. Obama's union thugs should be ashamed of themselves. This is outrageous!!! Taking advantage of a handicapped guy and an older gentleman. These hooligan's MUST BE STOPPED!!! Obama's thugs need to be arrested and thrown in jail immediately.

Part1: The Case Against Obamacare

While reading analysis on Obamacare on the website http://www.ncpa.org/sub/dpd/index.php?Article_ID=18208 I came across some very stunning information.

1)Right there on page 16 is a provision making individual private medical insurance illegal, says Investor's Business Daily (IBD).

The provision would indeed outlaw individual private coverage. Under the Orwellian header of "Protecting The Choice To Keep Current Coverage," the "Limitation On New Enrollment" section of the bill clearly states:

With Exceptions such as:
2)Those who currently have private individual coverage won't be able to change it.

3)Nor will those who leave a company to work for themselves be free to buy individual plans from private carriers.

I thought Obama said we could keep our health insurance plan, I guess NOT for as people switch from one job to another this would force Americans to participate in Obama's public-option.

As a critic of the Obama health care Govt. single-payer public option, here is further evidence of how this plan will take away individual freedom:

Drawn by a public option that will be 30 percent to 40 percent cheaper than their current premiums because taxpayers will be funding it, employers will gladly scrap their private plans and go with Washington's coverage.
The nonpartisan Lewin Group estimated in April that 120 million or more Americans could lose their group coverage at work and end up in such a program.
That would leave private carriers with 50 million or fewer customers; this could cause the market to, as Lewin Vice President John Sheils put it, "fizzle out altogether."

What wasn't known until now is that the bill itself will kill the market for private individual coverage by not letting any new policies be written after the public option becomes law, says IBD.

This legislation would effectively kill off health savings sccounts, which is what Democrats have wanted for years. Health savings accounts would give individuals more control over their medical care, and the government less control. But, with Obama's public-option(which is not an option at all) it would give a huge amount of control to the government in regulating our health care needs.

These are some of the reasons I note as why I am against Obamacare. It is not an option, but in fact the Govt. so called option would be forcing Tyranny on us all. This is not what our founding fathers fought for in the American Revolution. Our founding fathers fought for their freedom against tyranny, the kind that Obama is proposing.
