MIni Eagle Freedom Links -Coca-Cola Christmas--12-13-11

I have decided to do a series of Mini Eagle Freedom Links this week since I have been feeling fatigued. Probably partially due to my having a Vitamin B12 deficiency.  I'm working on remedying that.  I still get a little dizzy but thankfully not near as much as before.  Still waiting for results from my colonoscopy and endoscopy.  It still hurts when I breathe.  Not quite as bad as it was, thankfully. I am heading to the ENT doctor on Thursday to find out whether the tube that was in my throat during my surgery is what has caused my throat problems.  I am very thankful that I am in the process of fixing my medical issues and that I am feeling better than before.  The month of December seems to be flying by very quickly. Is everyone ready for Christmas?  Got all your holiday decorations up and presents wrapped?  Still shopping for that special person?  I still need to put up my Christmas tree and decorations.  Have you been watching any Christmas movies?  I hope everyone is enjoying this Christmas season.

Rush On Defending The Defenseless

I found this via Fr. Z and Motley Monk:

At the beginning of “Open Line Friday,” Rush Limbaugh took President Obama to task for his priorities in the current budget debate and potential shutdown of the federal government.

El Rushbo

Limbaugh posed this question:

During a government shutdown, how can the President withhold paying the military to defend the defenseless while at the same time fighting to keep Planned Parenthood funded to provide abortions to kill (I added the word kill) the most defenseless among us?

Rush makes a great point!

Ben Johnson Discusses Special Treatment for Islam and Al "racial ambulance chaser" Sharpton on Speech

Hawkins of Big Journalism points out that Rush Limbaugh was correct when he stated that Pelosi and Hoyer were moving Rep. Clyburn, a black democrat, to the back of the bus in order to guarantee that they, two white folks, would hold the key positions on the Democrat side of the House. Hawkins also points out the hypocrisy of Al "racial ambulance chaser" Sharpton accusing Limbaugh of "race-baiting".   Sharpton is the person who is guilty of race-baiting.

Rush Goes RINO Hunting!

I couldn't find a pic of Rush RINO hunting but I thought this toon showing Nugent Rino hunting looked good.

Elton John Rocks!!

First, Elton John played at Rush Limbaugh's wedding and now he has spoken out and admonished those musicians who are boycotting Arizona because of their new immigration law.  WAY TO GO,  ELTON!!

From Fox News:

Never one to back out of a performance to make a statement, music icon Elton John offered some choice words for his fellow musicians who choose to boycott Arizona over the SB 1070 immigration law.

According to the Arizona Daily Star, while performing at his sold-out concert at the Tucson Arena, he said:

"We are all very pleased to be playing in Arizona. I have read that some of the artists won't come here. They are f***wits! Let's face it: I still play in California, and as a gay man I have no legal rights whatsoever. So what's the (expletive) with these people?"

John is known for not giving into outside pressures when it comes to playing concerts in politically charged environments.

Last month, he ignored calls for a boycott of Israel, playing in Tel Aviv amid debates about an aid flotilla.

Here is more on his decision to play in Israel.

"Musicians spread love and peace, and bring people together. That's what we do," he said of artists like Elvis Costello and Santana, who canceled performances in Israel. "We don't cherry-pick our conscience."

Elton John is the bomb!!! He rocks!!!  Elton John is a classy guy.  He can disagree with your position and still be respectful of you at the same time.

This is one of my favorite Elton John's songs. Enjoy!!

Caller Rallies for Everyone to 'Engage' & Rush Praises Listener's Call To Action

This is a very articulate caller who is calling on everyone to be more engaged in politics and concerned with the direction that this country is heading.  The Tea Party movement has really awakened the sleeping giant.

Lib Malloy Calls for Deaths of Limbaugh, Beck, O'Reilly; Silent MSM= ILLEGITIMATE Pimps R' US

Mike Malloy, a liberal talk show host, has displayed journalistic malpractice by calling for the deaths of Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, and Glenn Beck. Have I heard one peep from the MSM calling out Mike Malloy for his incendiary comments? NOPE. The MSM is illegitimate. They need to give up their day jobs because they really suck at it. MSM, give it up and find a new career where you might actually be able to live up to the ethical standards of your new employment. Maybe, clowns or pimps would be good jobs? The MSM is a joke. Plus, the MSM is an arm of the Democratic Party just pimping out their leftist agenda for Obama. They are the little pimps listening to and following the head pimp and obey his every command just like a bunch of hypnotic robots that have no brains, and thus rendering them incapable of thinking for themselves. They have drank the Obama Kool-Aid, drenched in it from head-to-toe, inside and out, and have been mesmerized into a state of pathetic journalistic malpractice. Mike Malloy is not only fanning the flames he is igniting, stoking, and spreading those flames so that grave harm may come to Limbaugh, O'Reilly, and Beck. This is outrageous and I do not condone violence, period. The silence of the media in NOT taking a stand against Mike Malloy's outrageous statements makes them complicit, and they should be held responsible in some fashion if some act of violence does occur against Beck, O'Reilly, or Limbaugh. There are some congressmen and pathetic MSM propagandists who are stoking the flames, distorting the reality about the Tea Party movement and spreading outright lies claiming that the Tea Party movement and the GOP is promoting violence because of the Democrats usurpation and outright misconduct in their ignorance shown to the American people. This is flat out LIE and wrong!!! The TEA PARTY movement is PEACEFUL!!! Democrats and Obama through their actions have plain as day said FUCK YOU to the American people, and shoved this piece of crap bill down our throats all so that they can have more power and control over our lives. They couldn't give a rat's ass about the American public or the President and Democrats would have tried to sell the bill, compromised and listened to what portion of the bill citizens liked before the bill was shoved down our throats, instead of trying to sell this monstrosity afterward. The Tea Party is a movement that promotes taking back our country via the use of peaceful means - by voting and informing the rest of America about all the disinformation that the President and the Democrats have relayed to the American people regarding this bill that just became law.

For many years the MSM in its pitiful negligence ignored the Left's threats against President Bush while he was in office. And, now the MSM is touting far and wide their false propaganda that the few who have gone off the deep end somehow makes up the totality of the Tea Party movement when there is no empirical evidence to even suggest that any of these displays of violence are in fact connected to the Tea Party movement in any way, shape, or form. The MSM has violated its ethical obligations. Their needs to be a clean sweep of ALL of the MSM and some real ethical jouranalists need to be brought in as their replacements. Below, I will show you the pictatorial evidence I obtained from ZOMBLOG. There is further evidence of the death threats that were made against President Bush at ZOMBLOG. Obama and the Democrats are intent on destroying the very Foundation of our ountry and shredding the U.S. Constitution. And, as citizens of this great nation we must abide by the Constitution, start the new Revolution at the ballot box in November and vote out both the RINOS and Democrats peacefully. God Bless the USA!!!

DEMON PASS, Part Deux - GET THE WORD OUT! IT CAN BE STOPPED!

Teresamerica and The Naked Ontologist bring you this update.

We just heard this on Rush Limbaugh's show, and time is of the essence.  A constitutional lawyer and former assistant U.S. Attorney for the Justice Department and for the Department of Treasury just called in and spoke to Rush less than an hour ago.  She has been tryign to get through to Republican members of the House to let them know that specific provisions in the Constitution trump the general rules that the House is constitutionally empowered to make for running its own proceedings.  The same article and section that they are using to justify "Deem and Pass" - Article 1, Section 5, which says that they can make their own procedural rules, specifically allows for 20% of the members of the House to demand an up or down vote on "ANY QUESTION", and to have that vote recorded:

"Each House shall keep a journal of its proceedings, and from time to time publish the same, excepting such parts as may in their judgment require secrecy; and the yeas and nays of the members of either House on any question shall, at the desire of one fifth of those present, be entered on the journal."

That means that if enough Republicans - and there need only be enough to make up one-fifth of the house, formally demand an up or down vote on the Health Care bill, they cannot, as a procedural move, simply deem that the Senate Bill has passed in a vote on a separate question (e.g. a "reconciliation" vote).

But right now the House Republicans are seriously cowed by Pelosi and do not know that they have this option.  So please, GET THE WORD OUT!  Spread this around - if the Dems don't have enough votes, we can stop this thing!

The Art of Lying: Rush Compares Obama to Hitler

Note to Lefties:  Rush is not comparing Obama to Hitler in the mass murder sense.  Rush is comparing Obama to Hitler in the BIGGEST LIE EVER TOLD sense.

Rush Limbaugh's Letter to Obama

Here is a letter written by Rush Limbaugh to Barack Obama. He read it out loud on his radio program. Its a great letter. I hope Obama takes his advice. Enjoy!!

I found this wonderful video via The Conservative Lady.

My Thoughts & Prayers Go Out to Rush Limbaugh

My thoughts and prayers go out to Rush Limbaugh, wishing him a speedy recovery, and both a happy & healthy New Year.  Limbaugh is a great person who stands up,  and speaks to & for many conservatives across America.  I hope he returns to his radio show very soon.
Get Well Soon, Rush!

From News.gather.com:
In recent breaking news, conservative radio talk show host, Rush Limbaugh, was taken to a Hawaiian hospital. He was reportedly in serious condition suffering from chest pains which some suspect may be from a heart attack.
Rush Limbaugh, who is currently age 58, was taken to the hospital in Hawaii, The Queens Medical Center, whcih is in Honololu. The Rush Limbaugh hospital emergency happened after paramedics responded to a call around 2:41 PM on Wednesday afterhoon from the Kahala Hotel and Resort where Limbaugh is staying on vacation. Earlier this week, Limbaugh was seen golfing at the Waialae Country Club which is next to the hotel.

Amazing Sarah Palin Has Interviews With Sean Hannity & Bill O'Reilly

Sarah Palin sold 300,000 copies of Going Rogue yesterday.

A H/T goes out to Gateway Pundit for this next article:

And, FOX News released these numbers today on Sarah Palin’s aprroval rating.

It’s climbing:

Despite being characterized by many as a divisive force in her party and the nation, Americans are much more likely to give Palin a positive rating (47 percent favorable) than another prominent female leader — Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (28 percent favorable). Moreover, about six in 10 Americans (61 percent) think Palin has been treated unfairly by the press, according to the latest Fox News poll.

A big H/T goes out to Soloman at his blog, The Wisdom Of Soloman, where he posted an excellent article and the interview that Rush Limbaugh had with Sarah Palin. Its great to listen to.

Here is an article called Sarah Amazing by James Lewis of the American Thinker:

I felt real pain when Governor Sarah Palin was trashed over and over again by hateful screaming libs last year -- just to demonstrate their vaunted compassion and tolerance, docha know? So they roundly assaulted her Down Syndrome child, her pregnant daughter, exploited her daughter's sleazeball boyfriend, ginned up false accusations in Alaska, and somebody burned down her church in Wasilla. Raging feminists around the country were ready to tear Sarah's hair out by the roots. A real media lynch mob.

It just proves beyond a shadow of doubt how the Left keeps boiling over with hatred and bigotry against normal, decent people. So-called "progressives" are just today's Stalinists. Not really nice people, you might say. More like fascist haters.

But I need not have worried. Sarah Barracuda has ‘em by the short hairs. Those howls of rage you keep hearing are being hurled just because Sarah is smiling and beautiful, and she's not yielding an inch to the Commissars of Political Correctness. She drives ‘em over the edge by being herself.

Keith Tryin To Flex on Rush (video)

First, I would like to note that Keith Olbermann, the sycophant that he is, needs to take a trip to the deep, blue sea. I think the man(and I use that term lightly) needs to be dunked underwater for several minutes. That would help his brain to go into detox mode, and remove all of the liberal toxins that are infecting his brain. Then, he can start over from scratch, and be a "new" person with common sense, dignity, self-respect, and most importantly, be a conservative.

Keith Tryin To Flex on Rush

An Email I Received From Mitchell Blatt Hit a Nerve: Anita Dunn, Rush Limbaugh & Freedom of Speech

Today, I received an email from Mitchell Blatt who claims to be a conservative but to me his email was pretty peculiar. This particular email hit a nerve. It just sounded off a red alert in my brain that said, this doesn't sound like a conservative talking, or what a conservative would post.

Here is both the email and the post:
Mitchell Blatt said:
This week's column is about the rush to judgment political activists of both colors make when someone exercises their free speech rights to say something. (How do you like the pun? Ha, Ha, Ha!)

The pun is for Rush, of course, who was attacked with fake quotes, but nonetheless is also attacked for real quotes that are controversial, but shortly thereafter, conservatives attacked Anita Dunn for having the audacity to quote a Mao quote that was originally quoted by Lee Atwater.

This column isn't in support of Anita Dunn generally but in support of free speech. Yes, I am defending someone for free speech who attacked FOX News over free speech. That's what free speech is about.

Okay, so here's the column:

Mark Steyn starts off his latest National Review column first by quoting Rush Limbaugh exercising his free speech rights then by quoting Anita Dunn, Obama administration Attack FOX Czar, exercising her free speech rights.

Naturally, his cause is to defend Rush and to demonize Dunn for quoting Lee Atwater's quote of Mao Zedong.

These two stories are all the buzz over the conservative blogosphere: Rush Limbaugh said, "The NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons," (good), and Anita Dunn said, "The third lesson and tip actually comes from two of my favorite political philosophers, Mao Tse-Tung and Mother Teresa. ... You're going to make choices," (bad).

So here we are with conservatives defending Rush for comparing a mostly black league of athletes to a (mostly) black gang of criminal murderers because, well, he's just exercising his First Amendment rights, and the Left is trying to take him down with lies.

And then just a few days later, conservatives were attacking Dunn for quoting a communist murderer who also happened to be a very good political philosopher.

My thoughts are that both Dunn and Rush should go ahead and say whatever the hell they want, and we shouldn't care what they say, because maybe we should stop being so politically correct as a society?

Of course, the Right will never go along with that, despite the fact that Rush and Beck and everyone else consistently attack liberals for pushing politically correct fascism.

For activists, it's about tearing down their opponents however they can, not about standing for anything.

As Newt Gingrich said in 1995, "War is politics with blood; politics is war without blood."

(That's a Mao quote, by the way.)

Bill Dupray at True/Slant says it wasn't Dunn quoting Mao that is the problem, but that "explicitly say[ing] the person is one of your biggest influences."

But Bill Dupray lied there, just like CNN's Rick Sanchez lied about Rush saying slavery was good.

What Dunn actually said was that Mao was, "[one] of my favorite political philosophers."

And in fact, Mao was a great political philosopher.

The definition of philosophy, according to the American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language (Fourth Edition), is, "Investigation of the nature, causes, or principles of reality, knowledge, or values, based on logical reasoning rather than empirical methods."

Mao was so insightful when it came to investigating the nature of politics--i.e. how to gain and keep power--that he lead the communist takeover of China and became worshiped almost as much as our current president.

It was Mao's political philosophy that Gingrich quoted in 1995 to explain the nature of politics. There is nothing evil about thinking that Mao knows politics.

It's certainly true that Rush has been unfairly characterized, especially considering the fact that two of the quotes attributed to him last week were completely fake, but it's not like many conservative activists actually care that he was unfairly characterized. They only care that he's on their team.

If Glenn Beck cared about people being unfairly characterized then he'd stop calling Anita Dunn a Mao-ist commie, and he'd at least wait until she said something controversial before exposing his disregard for free speech and free thinking.

Then, I emailed him with my thoughts:
Mitchell Blatt,
I would say 95% of what was stated about Rush were false accusations, and 100% of what conservatives are stating about Anita Dunn is correct. Plus, theres proof, the video, in the case of Anita Dunn. Mao was a mass murderer, even worse than Hitler or Stalin. Anita Dunn said,"The third lesson and tip actually comes from two of my favorite political philosophers, Mao Tse-Tung and Mother Teresa. ... You're going to make choices," (bad). Did you notice that she said MY and not a great philosopher? Plus, here is Dunn referring to Mao, "the leader's philosophies were a guidepost for her own strategy on politics." Bill Dupray was in fact correct in his statement when he referred to Mao being one of Anita Dunn's biggest influences. The fact that Mao was a mass murderer is much more relevant than the fact he may have been a great political philosopher. Dunn was talking to students who are quite impressionable and seems to have been misleading them to believe that he was a great philosopher with no record of mass murder. She was distorting reality, which is what the left normally does. She has the right to express all of her free speech rights as she pleases, but so do conservative bloggers. Mao should not be praised at all, or put alongside Mother Teresa. That was absurd. Mother Teresa is in a class all her own. She performed many great works and is a fantastic role model for others to look up to. Prominent conservatives such as Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Steyn and conservative bloggers have a right to their free speech and express it toward the absurd- Anita Dunn and her comments. So, give prominent conservatives and conservative bloggers the same respect that you have given to Anita Dunn with regards to free speech rights, instead of demonizing us. Plus, I am not a fan of Newt either. He has a right to speak his mind as we do to, but for him to quote Mao is absurd, too. Please remember that we ALL have a right to free speech afforded to us in the Constitution. Both conservatives and liberals have a right to express their free speech rights'.
Sincerely,
Teresa Rice

You can see Mitchell Blatt's new blog here.

I just now received this email from Mitchell Blatt: I received your email, and I don't agree that this is should be a big controversy, but that's fine, we can disagree.

Okay, his comment doesn't even make sense since he is the person making a big deal about conservatives expressing their free speech. This sparked a nerve in me, so I just had to stand up for all of our rights' to criticize others' by expressing my right to freedom of speech.

Here is Marc Steyn's latest article, that Mitchell Blatt was referring to:

A Tale of Two Soundbites
Which one sounds “divisive” to you?

Here is a tale of two soundbites.

First:“Slavery built the South. I’m not saying we should bring it back; I’m just saying it had its merits. For one thing, the streets were safer after dark.”

Second:“The third lesson and tip actually comes from two of my favorite political philosophers, Mao Tse-Tung and Mother Teresa. Not often coupled with each other, but the two people that I turn to most to basically deliver a simple point, which is: You’re going to make choices. . . . But here’s the deal: These are your choices; they are no one else’s. In 1947, when Mao Tse-Tung was being challenged within his own party on his own plan to basically take China over, Chiang Kai-Shek and the nationalist Chinese held the cities, they had the army. . . . They had everything on their side. And people said ‘How can you win . . . ? How can you do this against all of the odds against you?’ And Mao Tse-Tung says, ‘You fight your war and I’ll fight mine . . . ’ You don’t have to accept the definition of how to do things. . . . You fight your war, you let them fight theirs. Everybody has their own path.”

The first quotation was attributed to Rush Limbaugh. He never said it. There is no tape of him saying it. There is no transcript of him saying it. After all, if he had done so at any point in the last 20 years, someone would surely have mentioned it at the time.

Yet CNN, MSNBC, ABC, other networks, and newspapers all around the country cheerfully repeated the pro-slavery quotation and attributed it, falsely, to Rush Limbaugh. And planting a flat-out lie in his mouth wound up getting Rush bounced from a consortium hoping to buy the St. Louis Rams. The NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell, said the talkshow host was a “divisive” figure, and famously non-divisive figures like the Rev. Al Sharpton and the Rev. Jesse Jackson expressed the hope that, with Mister Divisive out of the picture, the NFL could now “unify.”

The second quotation — hailing Mao — was uttered back in June to an audience of high-school students by Anita Dunn, the White House communications director. I know she uttered it because I watched the words issuing from her mouth on The Glenn Beck Show on Fox News. But don’t worry. Nobody else played it.
So if I understand correctly:
Rush Limbaugh is so “divisive” that to get him fired leftie agitators have to invent racist soundbites to put in his mouth.
But the White House communications director is so un-divisive that she can be invited along to recommend Chairman Mao as a role model for America’s young.

Chris Matthews Wishes Rush Limbaugh DEAD!

Chris Matthews the blood-sucking leech that he is wants Rush Limbaugh DEAD! He is a sycophant that has all sorts of thrills and chills running up his leg, just at the mere sight of our Dear Leader. I think Matthews may have experienced a we we moment from all the excitement. Has he been experiencing a certain kind of dampness? Matthews is a sick bastage. This is an extremely sick fantasy - wanting Rush Dead. Was that a death threat? Should the meniacal low-life bastage be fired from PSMNBC? I say YES. But, The far leftist network has utterly no legitimacy as news network anyways, so why start being one now? MSNBC has no integrity whatsoever, so it almost a certainty that this station will do absolutely nothing with regards to reprimanding Chris Matthews. MSNBC fills the airwaves with bunches of lies, distortions, and dastardly evil wishes on conservatives. Freedom of speech is one thing, but Chris Matthews crossed the line in a mega way with wishing Limbaugh DEAD. Wishing death upon a person is no laughing matter, and it must not be taken lightly. This damn freakin low-life sicko needs to be fired from MSNBC.

FIRE CHRIS MATTHEWS!!!!! MSNBC FIRE CHRIS MATTHEWS!!!!!

CHRIS MATTHEWS: You guys see Live and Let Die, the great Bond film with Yaphet Kotto as the bad guy, Mr. Big? In the end they jam a big CO2 pellet in his face and he blew up. I have to tell you, Rush Limbaugh is looking more and more like Mr. Big, and at some point somebody’s going to jam a CO2 pellet into his head and he’s going to explode like a giant blimp. That day may come. Not yet. But we’ll be there to watch. I think he’s Mr. Big, I think Yaphet Kotto. Are you watching, Rush?

Live and Let Die? Matthews is into the Roger Moore Bond films? That explains a lot, actually.

Note too, that Matthews isn’t using the dishonest “some people are saying” dodge here, either. He’s openly wistful for the day it happens, telling Politico’s Jonathan Martin and Washington Post reporter Anne Kornblut that “we’ll be there to watch” when someone offs Rush.

Classy. Really, really classy. Does NBC want to stand behind this standard for its broadcasts?

A MUST READ: Absolutely Wonderful Transcript of Rush Caller

This is a transcript of a Rush Caller.

This is absolutely wonderful!! A must read!

This woman was on fire! And spot on!

Here is an excellent transcript of a caller, named Susan from http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/.
BEGIN TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: All right, Susan in Glendale, California, nice to have you on the EIB Network. Hello.
CALLER: Rush, it’s a huge honor for me to speak to you, and I hope I can keep my — my voice level, because I am so passionate. I am as passionate as you are about this country. I’m a conservative. I’ve listened to you for 25 years. I’m married. I have seven kids. And when you were telling me about how all of the shenanigans that they’re going to do in the Senate to pass two different Senate bills then slam ‘em together, attach them to some House bill about TARP, and then jam it through and jam it down our throats, I got furious. And then I listened to what you said about the Michigan mom who was watching some kids before they went to school and how the Michigan state came down on her accusing her of running an illegal day care, and you’re right: What they’re going to do is they’re going to threaten our health and they’re going to threaten the health of our children. If I don’t comply with their health care, I’m not going to be able to get my children the medicine they need.
RUSH: No, it’s not — whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. It’s not if you don’t comply with their health care. It’s if you’re a good citizen in support of the liberals running the country.
CALLER: Yes, sir. And I’m not. I’m a conservative. You know what? I’m 45. I might fall and break my hip in the next ten years. They’re going to have to give me a shot because they’re not going to want me to be healed and they’re going to do this to my children. It’s like you said. They are the party of abortion. They are the party of euthanasia. They are trying to wipe out senior citizens who are maybe not as useful to the Democrat National Committee as they should be, we’re not contributing enough to them. And I am outraged and furious. And my question to you — because I’m a political nobody; I’m just out here on the Left Coast in la-la land watching all the liberals run our California state bankrupt — is: “What can we do, legally, morally, to take this country back?” I want people to stand up, and I want them to vote these criminals, these pedophiles out of office.
I want them to take back the state of California and make it a Golden State, and I want them to take back Washington. But we’re little people, and we marched two million of us down to Washington and the press — ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC — not one of them shows pictures on the news, not one of them will report anything. In fact, they cover it up! I’ve talked to so many people on the phone, just neighbors who are liberal and some of them are conservative, both sides, and I tell them these things. “Go to Fox News. Look at this.” No one sees the truth. But the travesty of all of this — part of this is politics as normal, independent, it’s two party. We’re going to fight and tussle over what’s right and wrong and, you know, we’re going to win some, lose some. But the damning thing today is that the press, the press is betraying us and we have no way — us, we be the little political moms, nobodies. I’m a mother, and I have no one to listen to, to go to on the news, except for you and Fox.
Tell us what we can do in 2010, other than voting for Sarah Palin. Which I will do. But I need to know because I don’t have much hope. I sure don’t have hope from Obama. I need hope from Rush and I want you to please tell us what we can do, because this is the life of my children. They’re on the line. They can put me out to pasture, but, yes, they’ve got me over a barrel. Because I will do anything to save the lives of my children, even if it means I’ve gotta kiss some big Democrat’s rear end to get the health care for my baby, I’ll have to do it, and that sickens me because they’re my employees. I’m paying their salaries. I’m paying for their fancy office of doctors down where you were talking about at the House of Representatives and the Senate. They just get to walk in and pay $503 and they get all the health care that they need for $503, specialists flown in.
The pharmacy right there on their hour! Probably open 24 hours a day. Nobody has to wait. They get that because I’m paying for it. I’m paying for it! It’s coming out of my children’s allowances, my grocery money. They are getting it, and they’re taking it without listening, without representing us — like you said, the small R. I’m not being represented. I’ve called Boxer’s office. I’ve called Adam Schiff who is my so-called representative. They are very polite to little people on the phone but the people who are running this country don’t listen to us. There are millions of us and we are all furious. And no one, no one is even reporting what is being said! And I’m watching my country that I love, that my father fought for in World War II, that my father-in-law was wounded and got the Purple Heart for — and I’m watching it just being taken, just like candy from a baby.
“Oh, we’ll help you. We’ll give you health care. Here’s a lollipop. Go away,” and nobody’s doing anything. I’m sorry to be so angry, but I need hope, and I need to know how to counteract these shenanigans. This is not what we put people in government for is to run little-bitty side bills, smash ‘em together, and then vote ‘em under the carpet into a different health care bill that is languishing in some committee that they haven’t voted on. That’s dirty politics and it shouldn’t be happening. It should up-and-down votes. And you’re right. The 63 new judges coming on, that’s going to cement — that’s going to absolutely cement — their ability to write law instead of legislate. They can just send it to the judges. The judges will rubber stamp it. We’ll have liberal judges, we’ll just write the law. Never mind conservatism. Never mind reading what the law actually says. I look at this, and I see this happening every day.
I’m listening to you, and I’m to the point where I don’t even know if I should listen anymore because I’m so passionate and I’m so furious to watch all this and to hear it all happening, and I feel so powerless for the first time in my life. I’m glad Mrs. Obama is proud of her country for the first time in her life. I, as a mother, as a nobody I am ashamed of my government for the first time in my life — and I need to know how to combat this, especially in 2010. What can I do today, now, to help, to revitalize these namby-pamby liberal Republican RINOs in our Senate and in our government who are just voting to get along and “I want to get reelected.” That’s nonsense. They’re not standing up for what is good and clean and right. They’re not standing up for our Constitution. They should be all thrown out, every last one of them — and I don’t know how to mobilize people, but you do, Rush. You do! You have the power. And with great gifts, God gives great responsibility. And I beg you please, please give us hope and lead us. Because this cannot stand. They cannot keep doing this. This is wrong.

RUSH: We still have Susan on the line from Glendale, California, and Susan, I was under no inclination to interrupt you or stop you, even when we got to the segment end.CALLER: I apologize.RUSH: No, don’t apologize, just the exact opposite. You summarized my first hour in ten minutes.
CALLER: Well, I like to listen to you, you’re great, and you always give us the facts.
RUSH: But you asked me what you could do.
CALLER: Yes.
RUSH: One thing you have to realize, you just did it. The passion and the emotion that you brought without one stutter –

CALLER: Well –
RUSH: You didn’t lose your train of thought. There was not one stutter. And I guarantee you the people in this, the largest radio audience in the country, are all out there standing up and cheering on their feet.
CALLER: You know what, Rush? I did it without a teleprompter! Or notes! So there.

RUSH: Or a writer. You didn’t have a ghostwriter.
CALLER: No, I didn’t. I have a three-year-old son, but he can’t do this. But I didn’t use a teleprompter, and I know what I’m saying, which is, I’m sorry, perhaps more than I can say for some of the people who are running our country. And it insults my intelligence. I walked away from a very good job at a law firm, I’m educated, I have a law degree, and I did it because I was promoted by God to be a mother of seven. I’m giving everything I’ve got to them. And the one thing I cannot give them, absent help from good people all over this country, I can’t give them the American way of life. I can’t give them freedom. I can’t give them that. I can teach them and that’s all I can do. But everybody’s got to stand up, and, you know what? Why don’t you make 2010 the worst nightmare ever for the Democrats. Pick up the phone, call Sarah Palin, and you two run, run in 2010. Rush and Sarah. Do it. They would go nuts. I know you couldn’t do your show every day. And I know there are not enough Democrat women like Pelosi in the Senate to give you your 30 minutes of aerobic activity because there’s no boobs to ogle like you were telling about that German study finding that 10 minutes of breast ogling helps men, but we’ll get you a treadmill in there, I’m sure the White House will have a treadmill, it’s got a basketball court now and other things and an organic garden. We’ll get you set up, we’ll keep you healthy, maybe once you judge the Miss America contest, maybe you could do that every year, and that would give you a good cardiovascular burst. And you could go ahead and run the country for four years. But we gotta do something.

RUSH: Well, one thing I want to tell you here is, you are not alone. I know you feel it, you said it –
CALLER: I do.
RUSH: — you feel you’re just a little person out there on the left coast and you’re overwhelmed by all this, but I think you should try to understand that the majority of people who pay attention to stuff in this country are with you on this. Their frustration is identical to yours.
CALLER: Yes, but they don’t know how to mobilize to do it, to stop it. We’re going to have this health care bill rammed down our throats before the election.
RUSH: Wait a second, now. I think they do. People have been mobilizing on their own. That’s one of the great things about all the tea parties and the other things going on, is there’s not an identifiable leader saying, “Go here, do that, I want you to show up.”
CALLER: I know.
RUSH: People are doing it on their own, of their own volition, their own emotion, because they’re just like you –

CALLER: I know.

RUSH: — they don’t want to lose the country, they don’t want to see it taken over, they don’t want to see it destroyed this way, especially for their children and grandchildren, and there are more of you than you know. Now, this health care thing, you talk about 2010. If they’re able to ram this through in the next couple of weeks or the next couple of months –

CALLER: Yeah.
RUSH: — 2010 is going to be nothing but punishment.

CALLER: I hope so.
RUSH: Now, the one thing to keep in mind here, the one thing to keep in mind is — I’m actually wrong. I need to take that back. This bill is not going to be implemented until 2013.

CALLER: Right. Right.
RUSH: So 2010 is crucial. That’s where the real change is going to come, and that’s throwing these Democrats out, as many as possible.

CALLER: Yes.
RUSH: Now, there are two things that I want to say to you here. The reason that 2013 is the year is because everybody in charge of this plan, from Obama to Reid and Pelosi, all the Democrats know full well there’s going to be a revolt.

CALLER: Yes. I know they know this. They’re just trying to lock it in anyway.
RUSH: Well, no –

CALLER: — because they want to secure their power.
RUSH: But 2012 is Obama’s reelection year, 2013 it gets implemented. If it got implemented before 2012 Obama would be beaten in a landslide –

CALLER: That’s right.
RUSH: — and he still may be, ACORN notwithstanding.

CALLER: Yes.
RUSH: The second thing here about all of these things that are happening, and you feel powerless to do anything about it, I think what’s happening throughout the country is an illustration that people are not powerless. This passion, this emotion that you represent here today that is felt by millions will have and is going to have an outlet. These techniques, the things that are being tried by the Democrats here are so against the decency and grain of the vast majority of the people in this country –

CALLER: That’s what’s offensive.
RUSH: — they’re not going to put up with it.

CALLER: I know. That’s what’s offensive –
RUSH: They aren’t going to put up with it.

CALLER: It’s not just politics as usual. It’s not, “Okay, we win some and we lose some.” This is underhanded, dirty dealing, “Okay, we’re going to vote for one bill, but we’re going to switch it, we’re going to edit it out.” It’s like a computer, you just zap it out and stick something in, but the vote doesn’t get edited. It’s virtual bills. We just get to change it. It’s outrageous. If I did this in a job, I would be fired. And yet they keep doing it and we’ve got to hold them accountable.
RUSH: And trust me, believe me, they will be.

CALLER: I know you’re right. That’s why I listen to you every day I can.

RUSH: I will tell you when it’s time to panic. And it isn’t time to panic. Panic doesn’t lead to productive action.

CALLER: True.
RUSH: I’ll tell you when it’s time. What you’re feeling right now is not even panic.

CALLER: No, it’s rage. It’s outrage.
RUSH: You are outraged and you want a positive channel for it.CALLER: Yes, I do. I want a positive way to effect and reclaim this country and to protect my children and to give them a good life.

RUSH: Here’s the second thing that I want to warn everybody against with all this passion. Because in this mix you and I haven’t discussed the Republican Party, have we?

CALLER: No, we haven’t.
RUSH: Well, let’s do that for just a second, because it’s crucial. While your rage, your outrage is properly directed at the architects of this disaster, the Democrat Party, at the same time, we don’t really see a lot of rage from our own elected representatives, do we? This is one of the reasons why –
CALLER: This is why we’re mad, ’cause they’re not outraged.
RUSH: That’s right.

CALLER: They don’t say anything, they don’t do anything.

RUSH: If you can call this radio show and in ten minutes, without one stutter, lay out the very dire threats that face this country, why in the hell can’t professional politicians stand up and say the same thing and take action to stop it?

CALLER: Amen.
RUSH: And that’s really the level of your frustration.

CALLER: Yes.
RUSH: Now, here’s where this is going to lead. If we’re not careful, this is going to lead people to start saying, “We need a third party.”

CALLER: No. No, no, no, no.
RUSH: Wait, hear me out. It’s going to lead to people say, “Both parties are the same, there’s no difference, Republicans and Democrats.” What we have to focus on here is taking back the Republican Party. I think there is enough rage right now, and if it sustains itself, and it will, Obama’s not going to stop any of this garbage, and the Democrats are not going to stop, so it will sustain itself.

CALLER: And we have to take back the party and revitalize it –
RUSH: Yeah.
CALLER: — with true conservatives.
RUSH: Exactly. That’s what has to happen. But at some point just voting against people is not enough.
CALLER: Right.
RUSH: It will be enough in 2010. But who we gonna elect in place of them? Where are the candidates going to come from?
CALLER: Yeah.
RUSH: I’m talking particularly now the House and the Senate. I mean you talked about the RINOs in the Senate, and there are a lot of them, and they’re scared to death of the media in Washington, they’re scared to death of being called racists, they’re scared to death of having happen to them what happens to Sarah Palin. They’re scared to death of having happen to them what happened to Joe Wilson. So they’ve got their own fear they have to overcome. They don’t understand that they’ve got an army of people. Even after all the campaign contributions Joe Wilson got, they still don’t see there’s an army of people willing to back ‘em up if they would just lead. There’s an army of people ready to follow ‘em.
CALLER: I gave Joe Wilson money. The minute he said it, the very night that he said “you lie,” I sent that guy money. And when he refused to apologize for a second time, when he’d already apologized personally to President Obama, and when he refused to do it again for the House and Senate, I sent him more money.

RUSH: Kin A'

CALLER: And that’s what we gotta do. We gotta back the people who are being leaders, and then we gotta kick out the ones who aren’t. But we can’t do a third party, we can’t do a tea party because we’ll be locked in with the Democrats, they’ll run the show because we’ll keep splitting the vote for 30 years.
RUSH: ‘Kin’ A! Exactly right. That’s going to lead to permanent victory for Democrats.
CALLER: I know! How do you tell people this? How do you say, “Whatever you do, vote conservative and get the Republican Party back.”
RUSH: Okay, we’re always going to have Perotistas.
CALLER: Yes, I remember him.
RUSH: All you gotta say to them, “Have you ever heard of Bill Clinton?”
CALLER: Yeah.
RUSH: You ever heard of Bill Clinton?
CALLER: Yeah.
RUSH: That’s something coming in the future, but this notion that both parties are the same and we gotta throw ‘em all out, unrealistic, they’re not the same, there’s no way that any Republican would be offering any of the things the Democrats are offering right now.
CALLER: I know.
RUSH: There is simply no way.
CALLER: But there is no room for cowards in government.
RUSH: Not right now. The country’s at stake.
CALLER: If you’re going to be in government you gotta play

RUSH: The country is at stake. You’re right, this is not about the traditional back-and-forth, the policy arguments, and we come to an agreement at the end of the day, we compromise and so forth. This is about the future of the country. So I understand your frustration. Believe me, I feel it, too. You’re asking me what you can do. We’re all asking ourselves that. You know, what can we do? People are marching; people are showing up in public; calling all these people’s offices. I think it’s a waste of your time, by the way, to call Boxer. I think right now if you’re going to call anybody, call Harry Reid’s office. I don’t care whether they talk to you or not, flood ‘em, shut ‘em down, e-mail, faxes, just shut ‘em down, call Harry Reid’s Nevada’s office, he’s worried about 2010 reelection. Harry Reid is about to have happen to him what happened to Tom Daschle. You call Harry Reid, don’t waste your time on Pelosi. Call Steny Hoyer. Call some of the Blue Dogs and moderates and so forth, because, I’ll tell you, these people, their political futures are up for grabs as well, the Blue Dog Democrats in the House.
But Harry Reid, you know, he’s the guy that’s the architect, along with Obama, of the shenanigans going on in the Senate right now. And, by the way, she spelled it out perfectly. If you didn’t hear the first hour, she gave you the summary of it pretty well, how they’re planning to attach two Senate health care bills to a House bill that the Senate has not yet acted on, on taxing bonuses. They’re basically going to attach a hybrid health care bill to the Senate version of the tax on bonuses bill and send that back to the House and have them vote on that with health care, single payer, public option health care being an amendment to a bill on taxing bonuses. And then they send that right up to Obama. Now, Susan, that’s not guaranteed. For this to happen, Pelosi and the House have to go along with whatever Harry Reid sends ‘em and not amend it and not add to it or take away from it, and you know, by the time the Congressional Black Caucus and some of the wacko leftists in the House get a look at the Senate bill, if it doesn’t have all the giveaways in it that they want, it could get screwed up. But this is the attempt going on, and this is how it would be done with 51 votes instead of 60, which is required in the Senate.
All of this is a tantamount admission that the American people don’t want it; it’s a tantamount admission they can’t pass it with public support and what that means is that they are scheming against the American people. The enemy of this government is not Moammar Khadafy; the enemy of this government is not Ahmadinejad; the enemy of this country is not Osama Bin Laden; the enemy of this country is the American people. The enemy of the Democrat Party right now in getting what they want is the American people, and that’s who they’re scheming against. And you know that, too, and that’s why you’re outraged. This is not supposed to be a banana republic. This is supposed to be a representative republic with a small R, and they’re obliterating it. They’ve been working at this for 50 years or more. Their dreams have come true. But they are overreaching and they’re getting so much public opposition now that they’re trying to figure out how to get past it and get done what they want and still maintain their power. I gotta go, Susan. Thanks for a great call.

RUSH: Internal message here to Koko up at the website. Koko, I want you to put the audio and transcript of Susan from Glendale on the free side of the website tonight. She said, “I can’t rally the nation.” Susan, you just did. My e-mail’s going nuts in here. “Thank you for letting her go on without interrupting her. Nobody else would do that.” That’s because I am a highly trained broadcast professional. … Teresa in Ithaca, New York, welcome to the EIB Network. Hello.

CALLER: Rush, what a pleasure it is to talk to you. I’ve been listening to you since day one, and it is absolutely a pleasure this afternoon to get through. I just wanted to thank you. I understand you’ve gotten many, many e-mails already for letting Susan speak her mind because her heartfelt sentiments are just echoing across the country, and it’s nice to hear somebody who is so eloquent in what she had to say and to also understand her frustration because so many of us are feeling the same way.
RUSH: Exactly right. And it would be great if every Republican member of Congress and the Senate could hear that call. We might find a way to make that happen, but it will be on the free side at RushLimbaugh.com when we update this afternoon.
