We Must Never Ever Forget 9/11

How could we, as a nation, ever forget 9/11? Unfortunately it seems like some have distanced themselves from the reality of those horrific attacks, and maybe even forgotten. We must never forget!! We must never forget the evil which we encountered head on on September 11, 2001. As we remember the lives that were lost ten years ago we must remain ever vigilant as we continue to encounter the threats of terrorism today.

Unfortunately political correctness has run amok for fear of offending one so called religious group and for that this group will react with vengeance and violence.  Why are we worrying about how Muslim extremists will react when we know these people are not rational beings?  If Islam, which has cloaked itself in religiosity while adhering to political extremist views, was not recognized as a religion, would it be considered acceptable or a constitutional right to have a building built on or in close proximity to Ground Zero, where that ideology murdered 3000 innocents?  People claim that before the attacks happened that this was not considered hallowed ground so it shouldn't matter what building is on or around Ground Zero but circumstances change things from not being hallowed ground to being hallowed ground.  There are still ashes and other remnants of citizens who died in those Towers on 9/11 and that makes that area on and around Ground Zero hallowed ground.

Unfortunately, some Americans have forgotten the evil nature of the 9/11 attacks and how those attacks posed a threat to all of humanity.
Or would some Americans have been duped by Muslim consultants into having a Flight 93 Memorial which is in the form of a crescent and faces Mecca?

A majority of Americans WILL NEVER FORGET the evil which occurred on September 11, 2001.  Unfortunately some have fallen sully into a pre-9/11 mentality and are not heeding the warnings of the 9/11 Commission.  The 9/11 Commission pointed out that prior to 9/11 the U.S. treated acts of terrorism as if they were merely criminal acts instead of acts of war. There are some who advocate for "rights" for terrorists which they are not granted under our Constitution. These terrorists are more than criminals, they are our enemies who threaten our way of life, our very existence. Those "rights' that those who have forgotten advocate are such things as trials in federal courts versus holding these terrorists accountable in miltary commissions.  These terrorists' acts of violence are more heinous and more of a threat to us than a typical criminal.

Muslim extremists made it abundantly clear on 9/11 that they are at war with America.  These Muslim extremists and their ilk hate freedom and liberty.  They believe in tyranny under sharia.

We must continue to remember those who acted heroically on 9/11 and the days shortly afterward. On that painful day Americans of all backgrounds and all walks of life came together as one to help and support one another amidst the chaos of tragedy. We must not let these people who lost their lives on 9/11 die in vain. We must never forget the face of evil which murdered them.  We must do our best to stop that kind of evil from entering our shores again, like it did on 9/11.

While most able-bodied occupants of the north tower fled down stairwells to safety, firefighters such as Mike Kehoe (pictured) headed up to help the wounded.

Kehoe's Ladder 11 firehouse lost six men that day, but he survived to face a life forever changed not only by 9/11 but by the iconic image in which he unwittingly appeared.

In addition, 125 military and civilian employees at work inside the Pentagon were killed by the crash.

This picture of a piece of United Airlines Flight 93 lying in a Pennsylvania field on September 14 was introduced as evidence during the trial that linked Zacarias Moussaoui to al Qaeda and the 9/11 attacks.

Moussaoui was sentenced to life without parole in 2006.

Where Were You When We Were Attacked On 9/11?

Where were you and what were you doing on September 11, 2001?  Where were you when the planes crashed into The Twin Towers, The Pentagon, and Shanksville?

September 11, 2001 is a day I will never forget. It will be etched in my memory forever.  I was in my car driving from Pittsburgh to Steubenville. I was meeting Kevin - my boyfriend at the time, now my husband - along with heading to a theology class.  I was listening to the radio when I heard something about planes hitting buildings. I was thinking what is this that I'm listening to?  I have to say at first I thought I was listening to some work of fiction. Then as I switched through the radio stations I kept hearing the same news. I heard that two planes had crashed into The Twin Towers of The World Trade Center and then I knew that what I had heard before on the radio was in fact a reality.  Then we found out that the horrific, tragic attacks which took place that day were carried out by Islamic extremists. The evil terrorists took the lives of 3000 innocents.  Al Qaeda had declared war on the United States on 9/11.  During my class we prayed for the souls of all those who lost their lives as well as for their loved ones whom they left behind.  May we continue to keep both them and their families in our prayers as we remember those terrible, heartbreaking events that happened 10 years ago.

My Rant on the Ground Zero Mosque

Newt Gingrich is spot on!! We are asked or told to bend over backwards for Muslims and Islam, which is a so-called religion, and yet they won’t respect a majority of the 9/11 families' wishes to stop the building of this mosque, along with a majority of the citizens of the United States who are against this mosque being built so close to Ground Zero  -- 2 blocks from Ground Zero -- where Islamic extremists murdered close to 3000 innocents. If these Muslims really wanted to build bridges and truly respected people of other faiths then they would offer to build the mosque at a different location, further away from Ground Zero or just abandon the building of the mosque altogether. This is pouring salt on the wounds of the 9/11 victims’ families.  This is totally making my blood boil and has me crying inside for both the 9/11 families and our country. This is going to cause many families mental anguish. These Muslims are claiming that they are building this mosque so that they may build bridges with citizens of other faiths but by forcing this mosque down our throats and having this mosque built so, so, so close to Ground Zero they are doing the exact opposite -- breaking bridges and causing tensions to mount.  If these Muslims really respected American citizens they would follow Pope John Paul II's example of how he strove to build bridges in Auschwitz and across Europe.  While I disagree with the notion that there is a similarity between Carmelite nuns and Muslims or Islamic extremists since I don't think any Carmelite nuns murdered innocents, I do think that there is an apt comparison between the Ground Zero Mosque and the abandoned building which was used as a convent in Auschwitz. The Muslims who want this mosque to be built need to reveal all sources of funding and prove that they are getting absolutely NO funding from any terrorist organization.  Then, in my book, it would also be a must for them to change their date that they have planned for opening the mosque, from September 11 to any other day of the year. Just because these Muslims may have a "right" ( which I don't think they do, since they would be building this mosque in a war zone) to build a mosque in this particular location doesn't mean that it is necessarily the right thing to do.  It is simply not right for a mosque to be built so close to Ground Zero.

Remembering 9/11

Tomorrow I am heading to Washington D.C. for the 9/12 March. I will be absent for a few days and look forward to being back and blogging with you on Monday.
September 11, 2001 is a day that will be ingrained in my mind forever. We must honor the FALLEN who died on this tragic day. We must never let the enemy slide through the cracks as they did that day. We must continue defending the nation against the terrorists. Evil came to us on that fateful day and we must continue to battle against this evil. As Americans we all came together on Sept. 11. WE MUST NEVER FORGET SEPTEMBER 11, 2001!!

Obama's Narrow Use of the Word Terrorist

Since the killing of both the abortionist George Tiller and Private Long I have been contemplating how both the President and the MSM responded to each tragedy. I have also been assessing when and how President Obama used the terms terrorism and terrorist.

I find it very troubling that the President was so willing to use the words terrorist and terrorism after the abortionist George Tiller was murdered. But when Private Long was gunned down by a Muslim convert he didn't respond for two days. And Obama does not refer to this Muslim as a terrorist who killed his enemy, who was a member of the United States military. He used the term Terrorist so loosely and immediately following the shooting of George Tiller. The MSM were so biased in their reporting of the George Tiller murder that they devoted five times the coverage to the murder of Tiller than to the murder of Private Long.

He seemed to blame the pro-life movement when Scott Roeder was a lone wolf who reacted solely on his own without the support of anyone in the pro-life movement.Pro-Life groups across the U.S. have denounced George Tiller's murder. Tiller performed the most extreme and heinous legal acts allowed in the U.S. The United States should be ashamed of allowing such a procedure to exist legally which is so Hitleresque. The U.S condemned Hitler and The Nazis for experimentation and extermination of the Jews who were not able to speak out and defend themselves. Yet Obama and pro-choicers are taking advantage of the most innocent precious life who cannot speak for themselves either. I do not think any killing is acceptable unless it is in war or in self-defense. The pro-life movement is not responsible for the murder of George Tiller.

Obama, when talking about the Muslim extremists during his overseas trip, did not mention the words terrorist or terrorism. I find it highly disturbing that Obama cannot speak the words terrorist or terrorism when referring to the extremists who killed 3000 Americans on September 11,2001. Instead Obama calls the terrorists jihadists like he is trying to sugarcoat exactly how violent and evil these terrorists really are. While overseas Obama referred to terrorists as jihadists and in my opinion it was for fear of offending Muslims in the Middle East.

Both the murders of Tiller and of Private Long were acts of terrorism. So was what happened on 9/11. But the fact that Obama can't use the word terrorism in reference to Muslims who used three planes for the destruction of buildings and the killing of 3000 American lives is unconscionable. Tiller was one person and Obama could think of that as terrorism and actually use the word but when referring to Muslim jihadists who killed 3000 times as many people as the person who killed Tiller he could not bring himself to use the word terrorist. This is appalling to me since there is quite a difference in the number of lives lost between September 11 and the George Tiller murder. Obama could not even refer to the incident of the Muslim who killed Private Long as an act of terrorism.

This week I found out that George Tiller's abortuary is remaining closed permanently. This is a happy ending for the pro-life movement. I am sure that it would have stayed open if they could have found an abortionist willing to perform third-trimester abortions. The abortions Tiller performed were not necessary at all. If it was because the life of the mother was in danger the women would not had to seek out Tiller to have a third trimester abortion and the closest hospital to the patient would have performed the abortion in order to save the mother's life. These controversial third trimester abortions Tiller performed were egregious and horrifying. It is a blessing from God that Tiller's abortion clinic is closed permanently.
